Historical Places in Multan
Hazrat Shah Rukn-e-Alam Tomb
The tomb of Hazrat Shah Rukn-e-Alam is situated in central Multan and is the mausoleum of Sheikh Rukn-ud-Din Abul Fateh (1251–1335 AD), who was a prominent Sufi saint of the 14th century from Multan and was associated with the Suhrawardiyya Sufi order.
He was the grandson of Hazrat Bahauddin Zakariya. Sheikh Rukn-ud-Din Abul Fateh is known by the title Hazrat Shah Rukn-e-Alam (Pillar of the World).
The tomb was built by the Tughluq ruler Ghiyas-ud-din of Delhi between 1320 and 1324 AD.
Although the tomb was built primarily with the intention of Ghiya-ud-din’s own mausoleum, later after his death, the tomb was presented to the family of the prominent Sufi saint.
The shrine of Shah Rukn-e-Alam is considered to be the earliest example of Tughluq heritage and is a prominent place to visit in Multan for travelers and tourists.

Town Hall/Ghanta Ghar
Ghanta Ghar, or Clock Tower, is also a historic place and a tourist attraction in Multan. It was built during the British Raj in 1884 in South Asia. Initially, it was constructed to be used as a place of office for the municipality to run city affairs.
Later on, in 1947, after the independence of Pakistan, the building was named “Jinnah Hall” and was used for offices, cultural events, and public meetings.
After some time, it became difficult to manage all the official events there due to insufficient space. Currently, people use this place as a photographic landscape, as it depicts the construction art of that period.

Multan International Cricket Stadium
Multan International Cricket Stadium is located off Vehari Road in the suburb of Multan. The stadium was built in 2001 and is owned by PCB. It has a capacity of 35,000 spectators at a time.
In the 2001-2002 Asian Test Championship, it hosted its first test match between Pakistan and Bangladesh.
